On Sunday, April 3rd AWB presented Meet Me in St. Louis at Centennial Hall at The Haverford School in Haverford, PA. It was a combined performance of actors from both AWB Jr. and AWB Sr. programs. The performance was so special because we were able to do live theatre again, after two years of being mostly virtual due to the pandemic. The actors loved being back on stage again and seeing their friends.

They are also loved seeing their fans in the audience. After 18 years it was the first time in AWB history that we did a performance with a few actors who were virtual. Both the actors and the audience loved the multi-media effect.

There were challenges in putting the show together. For the most part our monthly workshops were held virtually. Additionally, we were not able to hold the intensive four-day workshop in Centennial Hall prior to the show as we normally do. Our actors learned all their lines, songs, and dance moves during the workshops and worked independently with the support of their families. Their dedication to their craft really paid off because the performance went on without a hitch.

This performance proves that anything is possible at AWB!
